System information
The above figures are describing the Inverter size in kW. The Inverter deals with the transfer of DC electricity (batteries) to AC electricity (sockets, lights etc). it will also be used to convert the AC from your generator or grid supply when recharging the batteries.
Please be aware the above are only examples and will be effected by heavier energy requirements such as electric ovens, AC units etc.
Other variations to the systems will be the days of autonomy required—how many days do you want your system to last with out a top up from either the grid, generator or solar array. This will effect the amount of batteries you will need to store energy.
And lastly the size of Solar array. The Solar Array will determine the speed at which the batteries will recharge and the amount of electricity generated on days capable of doing so. Particularly relevant on less favourable days for solar as the more panels you have the more likely to generate power you are.
